Worst Happy Hour In Summerlin: North Italia In Boca Park Review (Better Choice: Trattoria Reggiano)

Looking for a good happy hour in the Boca Park area and thinking about trying North Italia? Let us save you the trouble. And the surprise extra charge at the end of your meal.

Trattoria Reggiano in Downtown Summerlin is MUCH better. And cheaper!

After visiting it for the first time, here’s why we won’t be returning and why there are better options for you.

Looking over the Happy Hour menu, the best deal seems to be the Bottle and Board at $44.

That menu reads: choice of: margherita or naples white pizza, chef’s board or farmers market board and a bottle of the featured red or white.

It doesn’t take a high school English teacher to tell you that the wording means you get three items for the $44 – choice of pizza, choice of board, and a bottle of wine.

But wait – that’s not true at this location, despite what the menu says. You can imagine our surprise when the bill came out with a $44 charge for the bottle & board + $18 for the farmer’s board.

Never mind the fact that BOARD is in the name of the menu item…so why were we charged separate for it? (cause it was the more expensive of pizza or board).

That’s right. This location is running a scam where they give you EITHER a pizza or a board with a bottle of Sutter Home wine.

wine so bad they don’t sell have it on the wine menu!

That’s right. For $44 you get a bottle of wine that they don’t even sell on their wine menu ($5.50 per bottle at Smiths) and either a $17 happy hour pizza or a $18/$19 happy hour board.

We pointed out what the menu says compared to the bill and were told that we were incorrect. And the server refused to get a manager.

If you can’t trust the prices (and descriptions) on the menu, then why eat here?

Not only is this not a happy hour deal at all, this is some shady ass shit. And they don’t deserve your hard earned money.

If you want a good happy hour at an Italian restaurant, we recommend Trattoria Reggiano in Downtown Summerlin.

If you prefer to stay in the Boca Park area and don’t need Italian food, we recommend Honey Salt.

  1. Thank you very much for the information! You could not only ask for the manager, you should demand it! Maybe the $44 menu is correct but the server is not.
